Goal Analysis
The learning objective for students of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business class are:
LO1: Define entrepreneurship
LO2: Understand the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur
LO3: Answer the essential question in essay format, "Should I become an Entrepreneur?"

2.1. Classify a Goal into a Domain of Learning

Intellectual skills and verbal information are the learning domains that students will demonstrate while executing the instructional goals. Verbal information includes defining entrepreneurship and engaging in a class discussion where they will ask questions and actively listen to their peers and me, their teacher, who will guide the conversation. Students' intellectual abilities are applied to distinguish and interpret evidence examining why some entrepreneurs succeed or fail. Students will discover and explore what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur by identifying a successful entrepreneur's characteristics and traits. Students will be able to compare and contrast the potential risk and rewards they will endure as an entrepreneur. Students will then form concepts answering the essential question, Should I become an entrepreneur?"

2.2. Perform a Goal Analysis

To successfully answer the essential question, students must develop entrepreneurial capabilities by evaluating and analyzing the curriculum through text, media, and classroom discussions. Students will identify and recognize entrepreneurial traits, characteristics, and roles that entrepreneurs play. Students will participate in a group discussion, further exploring the topic of entrepreneurship. Students will study critical terms of the unit in preparation for their summative assessment utilizing a true/false multiple-choice quiz. Students will then reflect on what they have learned and compose an essay on the essential question, "Should I become an entrepreneur?
